Six players with 12 or more homers listed

PHR

PHRs are at there lowest in years. No one will hit 60 homers this year. Only two players have PHRs of 50 and history tells us that means no one will hit 50 this year. This has sofar been a very bad year for home run totals. Sounds like drug testing works.

Six players tied at ten homers.

N. Arenado streak and PHR standings

Nolan James Arenado streak now at 28, only a dozen games to go to pass join Frosty Kennedy on the 40 consecutive game hitting list. Frosty was the 19th player to hit in fourty consecutive games (1953). He since has dropped to 23rd on the list. Look for Frosty's name to once again be in the news if Arenado can make it to 40.
Nolan was born in Newport Beach, CA. And went to El Toro H.S. He was a 2nd round draft pick by Colorado Rockies in 2009.

PHR Standings as of May 5, 2014

All players with ten or more homers are listed.

PHR..HR..player/Lg/Div

JD Martinez is still with Detroit, J. Abreu back on track to hit 60 homers and J. Bautista now has nine homers and I think is about ready to take a run at the lead, I still fell he is the best HR hitter playing today. He leads all players in walks, great eye.

Race 11 CD (Kty/Dby)
That 215 B stands out on number 5, I already bet Ca Chrom, go easy he will be an underlay, should be 5-1, but will go off at 3-1 or less. Better value bet is Tito take all top B and C horses and box in trifecta. My bet 5-8-10-13-15 Tbox

J.D. Martinez is now playing MLB, so his PHR will continue to fall. No other player has a PHR of 60, I now think it safe to say no new 60 Home Run Club members this year.

April comparisons to yesteryears

Today is May Day in much of the world so to celebrate I thought I would see how our 2014 HR leaders stack up to past HR leaders at the end of April.

Date.....HR..GP..PHR..player
5/1/14..10..17...78..JD Martinez AAA
5/1/14..10..29...49...J. Abreu MLB

5/1/13..12..27...72...J. Upton MLB

5/1/12..13..20...104..B. Eldred AAA

5/1/11..10..20....71...C. Decker AA

5/5/10..13..26.....81..M. Stanton AA

5/4/09..12..22.....78...J. Fox. aAA

5/5/08..13..32.....65...C. Utley. mLB

5/1/07..14...23...98...A. Rodriguez

J.D. Martinez took the lead with 10 about a week ago and was pulled up to MLB and were still waiting for someone to hit number 11.  We may have real horse race this year.
