PHR STANDINGS AS OF JULY 29, 2008

D. McPherson (38) and N. Cruz (37) have gone on a Home Run Spree this last week and lead all hitters. They are the only two who have a real chance of hitting 50 or more homers this year, and they play in a 144 game league.
Of the MLB players R. Braun has 29 homers to turn that race into a three way for the MLB batting title.

PHR STANDINGS AS OF JULY 21, 2008

The All Star break is behind us. R. Howard is looking like he won't slow down on his way to the batting tile for most Long Balls in a season. He leads with a PHR of 47.5. This will be the first year in quite some time that no one will hit 50 or more homers. You have to wonder what effect random drug testing has had on the low home run production this year.

PHR STANDINGS AS OF JULY 12, 2008

Ryan Howard, the pre-season favorite has taken the MLB long ball lead. He has pulled ahead of C. Utley by three homers and will never look back. Dallas McPherson leads the minors with a PHR of 48.9.
Howard may get to 55 homers this year, but I don't think anyone will hit 60.
